RCB: Crosses $300M Brand Value First. Royal Challengers Bengaluru has become the first cricket team in history to cross the $300 million brand value mark. According to Houlihan Lokey’s 2026 IPL Brand Valuation Study, RCB now holds a brand value of $312 million—a 16% increase from last year.
This milestone comes after RCB was acquired earlier this year by a consortium including Blackstone, Bolt Ventures, Aditya Birla Group, and Times of India Group at a reported valuation of $1.78 billion, the highest ever for a single IPL franchise. Co-owner Satyan Gajwani said, “RCB’s fanbase intensity and connection are unparalleled, which made this a special opportunity.” He added that the long-term growth of Indian cricket as a global asset class presents a huge opportunity for the brand.
The overall IPL business enterprise value reached $20.6 billion, up 11.4% year-on-year, with its standalone brand value rising 10.3% to $4.3 billion. Behind RCB, Mumbai Indians ranked second with $264 million, followed by Chennai Super Kings at $244 million. The report attributed the league’s growth to strong investor confidence, rising connected TV adoption, and clear revenue prospects.
With a devoted fanbase, strong commercial ecosystem, and record valuation, RCB continues to set new benchmarks in sports branding.
