Tipper accident: Two students dead in Musapeta collision. The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday under the Kukatpally police station limits in Hyderabad. Three intermediate students were heading to play cricket when a tipper struck their bike, killing two on the spot and leaving one critically injured.
The victims, Begari Mahesh (17) and Manne Lakshmiteja (17), were second-year students at Aroma Junior College in Ameerpet. Their friend, Puli Kirankumar (17), studied at Amrita College and was riding the bike. The three left home around 4 AM on Sunday, a holiday, to play cricket together, with the accident happening on their way back.
After finishing the game, the trio was heading towards KPHB Colony from Musapeta to have tea at Mahalakshmi Cafe when the tipper accident occurred. Near Metro Filler 796, the tipper driver suddenly turned right and collided with the bike. Kiran, the bike rider, was seriously injured, while Mahesh and Lakshmiteja fell under the tipper’s wheels and died instantly. Locals rushed Kiran to a nearby hospital, and police sent the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
The police have registered a case and taken the tipper driver into custody, moving the vehicle to the station for investigation.
