Directed by Sudha Kongara, ‘Surfira’ starring Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar was released in Hindi. However, the film was a flop at the box office there. In Telugu ‘sky is your limit!’ This movie was released with the name and became a great success. The film is based on the life story of Air Deccan founder and pilot GR Gopinad. Received National Awards. But, in Hindi, it got a flop talk. With this, multiplexes decided to provide free tea and samosas to attract the audience.
Akshay Kumar’s film should collect well on the first day as it is usually a Bollywood star hero. But the movie ‘Surfira’ was shocked to collect only Rs.2.50 crores on the first day (July 12). It earned Rs.4.50 crores on the second day. Against this backdrop, multiplexes are offering tea and samosas to the audience. This matter was posted by ‘PVR Inox’ Multiplex on social media. It remains to be seen if the audience will come even for samosas and tea.
