She shared that, in the past, it was difficult for South actors to secure roles in Hindi cinema. “However, the scenario has changed completely now. Earlier, Bollywood rarely welcomed South actors, but now, they see them as a way to expand their films’ reach to a larger audience,” Regina remarked, highlighting the growing appreciation for Southern talent in the Hindi film industry.
Despite the shift, Regina mentioned that she personally has not yet ventured into Bollywood but acknowledged the increasing opportunities for South stars in the Hindi film industry. This marks a significant change from the previous era when Bollywood often overlooked actors from the South.
