Over the next two years, the South Korean automaker plans to introduce two major SUVs, including the Hyundai Bayon-based midsize SUV and the seven-seater Ni1i. The Hyundai Bayon-based SUV is expected in the second quarter of FY2027, between July and September 2026. It will likely offer naturally aspirated petrol and dual-cylinder CNG powertrains. Spy shots indicate a familiar grille with horizontal bars, Venue-inspired slim LED DRLs, front parking sensors, a radar for ADAS, and bumper-integrated air vents. Many features will be shared with the Hyundai Creta.

For the seven-seater segment, Hyundai will launch the Ni1i, positioned between the Alcazar and Tucson. Expected in 2027, this SUV may be based on the long-wheelbase Hyundai Tucson sold in China, measuring 4,670mm in length. It will feature Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design, a parametric jewel grille, full LED headlamps, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The powertrain could include a strong hybrid based on the next-generation Creta’s 1.5L petrol engine.
