Jos Buttler and Harry Brook shared a record-breaking 233-run partnership for the second wicket, the highest stand for any wicket in men’s T20I history. Buttler smashed 12 fours and eight sixes in his career-best T20I score, while Brook remained unbeaten on 95 off 45 balls. Their aggressive batting helped England post a massive total of 257 for 3.
India’s bowlers struggled throughout the innings, with Axar Patel conceding 63 runs in four overs and Prince Yadav leaking 60 runs in his spell. Chasing 258 was always going to be difficult for India. Ishan Kishan scored 56 and Tilak Varma made a quick 53, but neither innings could threaten England’s total.
