Ferrari 12 Cilindri Manuale: V12 Power with Simulated Stick

Ferrari 12 Cilindri Manuale: V12 Power with Simulated Stick. Ferrari has officially unveiled the 12 Cilindri Manuale, a limited edition model that revives the feel of a traditional manual gearbox using modern technology. This special version combines a powerful V12 engine with an innovative transmission system that simulates the manual driving experience.

The Ferrari 12 Cilindri Manuale is powered by the same 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine found in the standard model, delivering 830 HP and 678 Nm of torque. The engine revs up to 9500 RPM and drives the rear wheels. Performance remains unchanged, with a 0-100 km/hr time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 340 km/hr.

Instead of a conventional manual transmission, Ferrari developed a new ‘Manuale By-Wire’ system. This setup retains the standard 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox but electronically simulates a 6-speed manual. Sensors interpret inputs from the clutch pedal and gated shifter, allowing drivers to experience clutch engagement, heel-and-toe downshifts, and even engine stalls. The transmission can also be switched back to fully automatic mode.

Visually, the Ferrari 12 Cilindri Manuale features subtle updates, including Manuale badging on the front fenders, silver-finished Ferrari side logos, and exclusive forged five-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, a redesigned center console houses an aluminum-finished gated gear lever. Production is limited to 1499 units, each priced at €590,000.

In conclusion, the Ferrari 12 Cilindri Manuale offers a unique blend of classic driving sensations and modern engineering. It is a tribute to the manual gearbox era, reimagined for today’s technology.
