It is known that the news of actress Hema being caught at a rave party in Bangalore two months ago caused a stir. She was also accused of taking drugs. After that, there were reports that she was also arrested by the Bengaluru police who came for investigation. Moreover, it is said that she has recently come out of jail on bail. In this context, the Movie Artistes Association (MA) canceled Hema’s primary membership.

Recently, Hema wrote a letter to the Movie Artist Association. She handed over the letter along with our president Manchu Vishnu. So, what is in that letter.. ‘I have been a member of our association for about a decade. It is unfair to expel such a person from our membership without issuing him any show cause notice and at least asking for an explanation. In the Bangalore Rave Party incident, I was smeared. In this matter we also acted unilaterally. As per our bylaws I need to issue a show cause notice first. But nothing like that happened. Any action should be taken when the explanation given in the show cause notice is not correct. But removing me from us without giving any show cause notice is a big mistake. Recently I took a drug test. I got negative in it. The details of the tests conducted by the police will come out soon. So again I have to continue my membership in ‘Ma’. Because I need ‘our’ support in the case of drugs’ she wrote in her letter.
