Nara Lokesh: Shinhyup Electronics Backs Andhra PCB Hub. The Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics in Andhra Pradesh has invited the South Korean firm to build a complete PCB manufacturing ecosystem in the state. This partnership is a major step toward making Andhra Pradesh a key player in global electronics production.
During his visit to Seoul, Nara Lokesh met with Taehoo Kim, Chairman of Shinhyup Electronics, along with Shibly Ahmed of Engineering Adhesive. They discussed investment opportunities to expand the electronics sector in Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh thanked Shinhyup Electronics for choosing the state, noting that four companies—Syrma, Jetworks, Epitome, and Sipsa Tech—have already committed to setting up units at Naidupeta in Tirupati district. He urged Shinhyup Electronics to collaborate on developing a world-class end-to-end PCB cluster there.
Chairman Taehoo Kim confirmed that Shinhyup Electronics plans to establish India’s largest manufacturing facility for PCBs, Copper Clad Laminates (CCL), and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS). The plant will serve the electric vehicle, automotive, healthcare, and smart metering industries. The company will invest ₹1,595 crore, creating around 2,170 jobs at the Naidupeta location. Kim added that the company will review the state government’s proposals with its senior leadership before deciding on further collaboration.
This meeting highlights Andhra Pradesh’s ongoing efforts to attract global electronics manufacturers. By building a dedicated PCB hub with partners like Shinhyup Electronics, the state is strengthening its position as a preferred destination for high-value manufacturing investments in India.
