Union Minister Kishan Reddy has sharply criticized Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s visit to Davos, questioning the effectiveness of the agreements made during the trip. Reddy expressed concerns about the lack of clarity regarding the policies of the state government and raised doubts about the tangible outcomes of these agreements. He emphasized that the investments brought from abroad and other states should not just remain on paper but must translate into actual work on the ground.
The Union Minister further criticized the previous BRS government for its alleged bias against certain entrepreneurs. Reddy claimed that the Congress government had been harassing businesses and industrialists across the state, and there was no businessman who hadn’t faced difficulties under its rule. His comments come in the wake of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s return from Davos, where he had attended the World Economic Forum.
While CM KCR’s Davos tour was seen as an attempt to attract foreign investments and boost the state’s economy, Kishan Reddy and other critics are skeptical about the long-term benefits. Reddy, in particular, took issue with the agreements made by the state government, specifically the deal with Megha Company, which he believes does not benefit the state’s business community.
As the debate continues, Kishan Reddy is urging the government to move beyond mere agreements and take concrete steps to foster a business-friendly environment at the grassroots level. He believes that for any meaningful change to occur, policies must be implemented on the ground, benefiting the entrepreneurs and the economy at large.
