Minister Narayana has recently provided updates on the ongoing development of Amaravati, the proposed capital of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking to the media during his visit to the city, he confirmed that 40 tenders have already been issued for various construction works in the area. Narayana emphasized that despite delays caused by legal challenges, the state government is committed to completing Amaravati’s construction within three years.

The Minister also discussed the grand vision for Amaravati, stating that the city is being designed with the ambition of becoming one of the top 5 cities in the world. Notably, renowned architect Norman Foster has been involved in the planning of iconic buildings to give the city a global stature. Narayana highlighted that before 2019, under the TDP government, significant groundwork had been laid, including the construction of 4,053 flats intended for judges, officers, and employees.

One of the most ambitious features of Amaravati’s development is the planned construction of a 250-meter-high assembly building. Narayana explained that, apart from its functional role, the building will also be designed to serve as a major tourism attraction during non-session periods. The city’s infrastructure will include underground systems for drinking water, power lines, and drainage, which will contribute to its modern and clean design.

Despite the challenges, Narayana’s comments underline the government’s determination to move forward with the capital’s development, positioning Amaravati as a world-class city with top-notch infrastructure and a strong vision for the future.
