Similarly, Tourism Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao conducted a high-level review of tourism infrastructure without Revanth Reddy’s involvement. Another instance of Revanth Reddy’s direct intervention involved transferring a file from Information Technology Minister D. Sridhar Babu’s jurisdiction to the Education Department, overruling the minister’s scrutiny.
Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy faced a similar situation when, within 48 hours of his review of the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme, the Chief Minister convened a parallel meeting, overriding the minister’s independent brief. These actions have led to growing friction in multiple sectors. While the Chief Minister’s office defends these steps as necessary to remove bureaucratic hurdles, senior leaders from the ruling party privately express concern that the balance in the government is being disturbed.
