Chennai Love Story: Kiran Abbavaram’s Mature Romance

Chennai Love Story: Kiran Abbavaram’s Mature Romance is a refreshing tale of second love, set to release on July 24. Produced by SKN, a journalist-turned-producer known for hits like Taxiwala and Baby, this film is made under the Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers banners. Starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, it is directed by Ravi Namburi with music by Mani Sharma.

When asked why the film is titled Chennai Love Story, SKN revealed that while the lead couple is Telugu, they live in Chennai, giving the film its name. After Baby’s success, SKN took nearly a year to find the right project. The story by National Award-winning writer Sai Rajesh impressed them, leading to this collaboration. On casting Kiran Abbavaram, SKN noted his mature performance, saying the actor did justice to the vision and might earn award nominations for his portrayal.

The film’s theme revolves around second love. SKN explained that both first and second loves are part of life, and failure in one doesn’t prevent future love. While Baby focused on first love, Chennai Love Story celebrates the beauty of second love without being tragic. Ravi Namburi, who worked on Baby, directed this film, with SKN praising his talent as a technician and dialogue writer.

SKN clarified that Chennai Love Story avoids controversial content seen in films like Arjun Reddy or Animal, relying instead on emotional depth. Ticket prices remain affordable, targeting families and youth. SKN expressed satisfaction in reaching a wider audience, making this film a heartfelt addition to Telugu cinema.
