Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir, who retired from international cricket, has continued to showcase his remarkable skills in T20 leagues, most recently in the International League T20 (ILT20) at Dubai Stadium. Playing for Desert Vipers, Amir reminded fans of the legendary Wasim Akram with his impressive bowling performance.

In a recent match, Amir took a key wicket of Sikandar Raza with a clever slower bouncer, sending Raza back to the pavilion after an outside edge was caught behind the stumps by wicketkeeper Tanish Suri. Although Amir’s performance stood out, his team, Desert Vipers, could not convert the crucial wicket into a victory. Despite the Desert Vipers setting a modest target of 139 runs, Dubai Capitals successfully chased it down in 17.4 overs, securing a six-wicket victory. Gulbadin Naib’s stellar 78 runs off 51 balls was pivotal in the win.

Although the Desert Vipers’ unbeaten streak was broken by Dubai Capitals, Mohammad Amir’s bowling prowess once again proved his skill, even after retirement. Earlier, Amir and fellow player Imad Wasim had announced their retirements from international cricket, choosing to continue playing in franchise leagues.

Their decision marks the end of their international careers, with Amir acknowledging the honor of representing Pakistan and expressing confidence in the next generation to elevate the country’s cricket.
