India is gearing up to celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, with the highly anticipated Republic Day Parade, which will highlight the nation’s cultural heritage and military prowess. This year, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest at the event. If you are planning to be a part of the celebration, here’s a detailed guide on how to secure your tickets for the parade, both online and offline.
For online booking, you need to visit the official portal at aamantran.mod.gov.in/login. After accessing the website, select the event you wish to attend, whether it’s the Republic Day Parade or the Beating Retreat Ceremony. You will be asked to provide your ID and mobile number for verification. After completing the payment for the tickets you want, your tickets will be confirmed.
Additionally, the Ministry of Defence has launched the Aamantran mobile app, available for both iOS and Android devices. To book tickets using the app, download and open it, then navigate to the ticket section and follow the simple instructions to complete the purchase.
For those who prefer to buy tickets offline, the Ministry has set up several counters across New Delhi, where tickets are being sold from January 7 to January 25, 2025. The counters are open from 10 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and from 10 AM to 2 PM on Sundays and holidays. To book tickets offline, you must carry a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, or voter ID.
The locations for offline ticket sales include prominent places such as North Block Round About, Sena Bhawan, Pragati Maidan, Jantar Mantar, and Red Fort, among others. Ticket prices for the Republic Day Parade are ₹100 and ₹20, while the Beating Retreat Full Dress Rehearsal tickets are ₹20, and the Beating Retreat Ceremony tickets are ₹100.
For easier access to Kartavya Path, the nearest metro stations include Udyog Bhawan and Central Secretariat, which are on the Yellow and Violet Lines.
It’s important to note that ticket counters at Sena Bhawan will remain open until 7 PM from January 23-25, 2025, and on January 23, counters will open only in the afternoon due to the Full Dress Rehearsal. Be sure to book your tickets early and enjoy this grand national celebration!
