Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra EV launched in India at Rs. 18.79 lakhs, marking Tata Motors’ entry into the midsize electric SUV segment. Bookings are open, with deliveries starting July 15. The Sierra EV sits above the Curvv EV and competes with the Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and VinFast VF6.

The Tata Sierra EV is available with 63 kWh and 75 kWh battery packs, offering claimed MIDC ranges of 535 km and 665 km respectively. Prices range from Rs. 18.79 lakhs for the Pure variant to Rs. 25.99 lakhs for the Empowered A AWD. Single-motor RWD versions produce 315 Nm torque, while the dual-motor AWD variant delivers 504 Nm and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.8 seconds using Boost Mode. A 120 kW DC fast charger provides 263 km range in 15 minutes, with 20-80 percent charge taking 26 minutes. A 7.2 kW home charger costs an additional Rs. 49,000.

Built on the Acti.ev+ platform, the Sierra EV shares its architecture with the Harrier EV. The AWD variant features six terrain modes, low-speed off-road cruise control, and a 540-degree camera. Visually, it resembles the ICE Sierra with EV-specific updates like a redesigned front bumper and 18- or 19-inch wheels. The cabin offers a triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, JBL audio, ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, head-up display, digital key, and six airbags. It also supports V2L, V2V charging, Summon Mode, and DrivePay.

The Tata Sierra EV strengthens Tata’s EV lineup with long range, AWD capability, and advanced features. With competitive pricing and a 15-year battery warranty, it stands as a strong contender in the midsize electric SUV segment.
