Tata Sierra EV: Bookings Open at Rs 18.79 Lakh. The highly anticipated electric SUV is now officially available for booking across India at a starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Motors has launched the Sierra EV in multiple variants, with prices extending up to Rs 20.99 lakh for the top-end 75kWh version. This new model directly competes with the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki eVitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, and MG ZS EV. In Tata’s own EV lineup, the Tata Sierra EV sits between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV, offering a compelling new option in the midsize electric SUV segment.
The Tata Sierra EV is built on the company’s activ.ev+ architecture and comes with two battery pack choices: a 63kWh unit offering a claimed MIDC range of 565km, and a 75kWh unit delivering 665km. Both batteries support 120kW DC fast charging, providing a 238km and 263km range top-up respectively in just 15 minutes. Charging options also include a 7.2kW home charger and a 3.3kW anywhere charger. Deliveries for the Tata Sierra EV are set to begin on July 15, 2026, with bookings now open nationwide.
On the outside, the Tata Sierra EV features a body-coloured closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and ‘Sierra’ lettering below the front LED light bar. It retains its upright stance, 19-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out glass elements, and connected LED lighting. The electric SUV is available in seven colours, including new shades like Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne, along with Pristine White, Andaman Adventure, Coorg Cloud, Bengal Rouge, and Pure Grey.
Inside, the cabin of the Tata Sierra EV mirrors its ICE counterpart with EV-specific refinements. Higher trims get a triple screen setup with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch passenger display, while lower variants have a dual screen. Key features include ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and the iRA.ev connected car suite. With its competitive pricing and long-range options, the Tata Sierra EV is set to make a strong impact in the electric SUV market.
