MG Starlight 560: New Plug-in Hybrid SUV Teased for India

MG Starlight 560: JSW MG Motor India has officially confirmed plans to unveil this new plug-in hybrid SUV on July 16. The MG Starlight 560 is a three-row SUV that combines a petrol engine with an electric motor for improved efficiency. If launched here, the MG Starlight 560 would expand the brand’s electrified lineup and compete in the midsize SUV segment.

The MG Starlight 560 measures 4745 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2810 mm, making it one of the larger options in its category. It offers seating for seven occupants and features a modern design with LED headlamps, connected LED taillights, and dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the MG Starlight 560 includes a large touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and advanced driver assistance systems.

Under the hood, the MG Starlight 560 uses a 1.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor producing 194 BHP and 230 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in under 10 seconds and offers a pure electric range of up to 100 km from its 20.5 kWh battery. Internationally, an all-electric variant with over 500 km range is also available.

With growing interest in electrified vehicles in India, the launch of the MG Starlight 560 could provide a fresh choice for families seeking a spacious, efficient SUV that lowers running costs without sacrificing performance. This model promises to be a strong contender in the midsize segment.
