MG Starlight 560: JSW MG Motor India has confirmed plans to introduce a new plug-in hybrid SUV based on this model on July 16. The MG Starlight 560 is a three-row SUV that combines a petrol engine with an electric motor for improved efficiency. If launched here, the MG Starlight 560 would expand the brand’s electrified lineup and compete in the midsize SUV segment.
The SUV measures 4745 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2810 mm, making it one of the larger options in its category. It offers seating for seven occupants and features a modern design with LED headlamps, connected LED taillights, and dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the MG Starlight 560 includes a large touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and advanced driver assistance systems.
Under the hood, the plug-in hybrid version uses a 1.5-liter petrol engine and an electric motor producing 194 BHP and 230 Nm of torque. The MG Starlight 560 can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in under 10 seconds and offers a pure electric range of up to 100 km from its 20.5 kWh battery. Internationally, an all-electric variant with over 500 km range is also available.
