What excited you about ‘Saripoda Saturday’?
Whatever was shown in the trailer really excited me. You have to see the narrative in the movie. We have told the idea in the trailer. You have to watch the movie to know how that idea was executed.
What part of ‘Saripoda Saturday’ did you find challenging?
There is no such thing as challenging. It felt very refreshing. Generally I carry an unknown weight in all my films. This time it is on SJ Surya and Vivek. I took a bit of a back seat. In terms of performance, SJ Surya, Priyanka, Muralisharma… there is a burden on everyone.
How was it working with SJ Surya?
I really enjoyed performing with SJ Surya. He is very understanding. A new perspective can be learned from him in performance. If he misses that role, there is no other choice. Dubbing took about seven days. It came amazingly. He will watch the film twice more for his dubbing. ‘Saripoda Saturday’ is a very good story. There will be adrenaline pumping moments. According to the story, we took that adrenaline pumping to hundred percent. The film is very organic. Audiences in theaters enjoy it a lot.

The run time and screenplay of ‘Saripoda Satyabha’ is perfect. The idea, setup, pay off we thought went to the next level. We did what we wanted to do.
Producer Danayya Garu said that he made sure that the film does not face any problem?
I will do the same for each of my films. I work as an assistant director to my director. I want all my producers to be happy. After the release of the film, I feel success only if I know that everyone is happy.
What is the reason for releasing this movie on Saturday?
There is a compelling emotional reason. That was my favorite moment. It comes five minutes after the movie starts.
We heard that Sokulapalem will be a key element in this?
Sokulapalem is an entity in this story. The background underlines the emotion. Sokulapalem is the story that takes place between the characters of Surya, Daya and Charulatha, and adds emotion to that story.
Any thoughts on taking ‘Saripoda Saturday’ as a franchise?
The possibility is there though. There is a possibility if the audience makes a blockbuster.
Did you find the action part challenging?
It is 20 percent action and 80 percent action mood. The audience will enjoy the action mood in this.

The screenplay and narrative of ‘Saripoda Satyabha’ is very exciting.
After ‘Dussehra’ your film is being released in other states as well.. How has the response been so far?
I really didn’t expect so much love. Looking at the people coming to the event in other states, it is surprising how they are coming. Cinema Cinema is growing in popularity. This increases the liability.
Most memorable moment in your journey?
In personal life, cheese is birthday. It varies when it comes to movies. When I saw the movie ‘Dussehra’ in Sudarshan, I found it very memorable. Another fresh memory is coming with this movie.
