Currently, two horror films are hitting the Indian box office. They are Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and Arulnithi’s DeMonte Colony 2. While one is heading towards an all-time blockbuster in Hindi, the latter is turning out to be a superhit. Diamante Colony 2 is releasing this Friday in Telugu, and a pre-release event was held in Hyderabad today. Director Ram Gopal Varma, who has given many horror films, was the chief guest at the event.

RGV revealed an interesting thing on this occasion. Twenty years ago, RGV produced the Hindi film Bhoot with Ajay Devgn and Urmila Matondkar, which was a commercial success. RGV revealed that the apartment where he shot Bhoot is still not sold. Because after the release of the film, its reputation faded. Bhoot released as 12th Floor in Telugu.

Ajay Gnanamuthu told me that the first part got into controversy because of its title. And now it has to be seen whether people will vacate Dimante Colony in Chennai. He said that he is hearing extraordinary reports about this film not only in Tamil but also in Telugu. These days only small films are making inroads in the industry. This horror thriller stars Priya Bhavani Shankar in another lead role.
