Recently, there has been a lot of criticism that former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and YCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy cannot say anything without a script. YS Jagan was once known as a person who spoke his mind with a lot of fire. At that time people used to come forward to listen to YS Jagan’s speech irrespective of parties. But such cases have become less common in recent times. YS Jagan used to look at the paper and speak in the preparatory meetings and during his tenure as CM. They have been saying what they have said many times. With this, the TDP leaders also criticized YS Jagan as he could not speak anything without a script. More importantly, the then opposition countered that YS Jagan hid without holding a press meet because of the fear of going off script. She took the matter to the people saying that this is the reason why she did not hold a single press meet.
YS Jagan, who is only an MLA, came before the media twice. Arrested in the EVM vandalism case, former MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, who was arrested in Nellore Jail, came out recently to visit the family of Jilani, who was murdered in Vinukonda. At the Nellore Jail, YS Jagan said what he had to say and left without answering the reporters’ questions. And in Vinukonda, he said that he was speaking to the question of the media representative, why was he asking in the middle of the question. Stopping there, he said that if he asks questions, the flow of his speech will be damaged. They forgot what he was talking about. Not remembering where he left off in the script he was reading, the leaders next to him started the speech again. Even in these two cases, some people paid attention to what Jagan had said.
