Story:

Shivayya (Ravindra Vijay) is the gentleman of Peddapalli village in Guntur district and ten surrounding villages. Shivayya’s word is an inscription for those villages. Shivaayya destroys the lives of women by blocking his money and power. Pushpa (Anjali) on the other hand is a prostitute. She is the concubine of Shiva. In the background of some dramatic developments in this sequence, Shiviya falls in love with Puspa – Darshi (Sreetej) who works with Shivayya. She loves him too. Both want to get married. But, Darshi, why did Lakshmi (Ananya Nagalla) have to tie a thali around her neck?, then why did Darshi go to jail?, what did Darshi do after coming out of jail?, finally how did Pushpa take revenge on Shivayya? That’s the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Years ago, caste and religion were important in the villages. This series also went on in that background. A crime drama woven around the gentlemanly character of Shivayya, as well as the prostitute Pushpa’s character, the suspense of what will happen next in some episodes is well maintained. The relationship between Pushpa and Shivayya’s characters and Darshi’s relationship with these characters is impressive. Moreover, the crime con flick around these three characters is also good.

Anjali’s performance as prostitute Pushpa is very good. Anjali’s performance in the bold and love scenes became the highlight of the series. Another heroine Ananya Nagalla also acted well. Although Ananya’s role is not that long story-wise, she impresses with her performance. Ravindra Vijay’s performance as Shivayya is also good. He did full justice to the role of a gentleman. Sritej, who appeared in another key role, also acted very well. And the rest of the actors also acted well according to the scope of their role. The director has shot some emotional scenes well in this suspenseful crime series.

Minus Points:

In this series, the main plot, Shivayya – Pushpa characters, Peddapalli village is the background of the story, as well as the filming of other characters, the performance of the actors is good, but the director Mukesh Prajapati was not fully impressed with the story. Although the emotions between the characters are well established in the last three episodes, it seems like a mellow drama at some places. In addition to this, some interesting elements were missing in the series.

Even if the scene was well established in terms of how some beasts in the form of big men committed atrocities on girls belonging to low caste, it would have been better if they had built a stronger conflict in the treatment. Along with this, some emotional scenes were also very routine. Pushpa’s revenge on Shivayya’s character with the help of Lakshmi should have been even stronger.

Technical Department:

Talking about the technicians.. Director Mukesh Prajapati’s take is good. However, he failed at some places in writing a good screenplay. The music by music director Siddharth Sadashiv is good. The background score is also impressive in some key scenes. Cinematography work is good. The production values followed by producer Prashanthi Malishetty are very good.

Verdict:

The suspense of what will happen next in some episodes of this series called ‘Expulsion’ has been well maintained. A few scenes with a raw and rustic feel are also okay. However, things like missing interesting elements in the screenplay, slow narration at some places, and boring scenes are minuses for the series. Overall, the acting of the actors and some crime elements in this series connect only to a certain audience. The rest of the audience will not be impressed by this series.
