According to the makers, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will direct the film on the theme of the emperor who ruled Trigarthala Empire a few years before Bimbisara. This film, which is the 22nd film in Kalyan Ram’s career, will be made with the working title NKR22. The makers have given clarity that this movie is coming as a prequel to Bimbisara.
