OTT Review: Aham Reboot – Aired on Aha

Story:

Nilay (Sumanth) dreams of becoming a football player. However, an accident changes his life. Moreover, a girl named Avantika dies due to Nilay in that accident. Due to this guilty feeling, Nilay suffers from suicidal thoughts. In the background of some dramatic developments in this sequence, Nilay joins a radio jockey job to get away from his pain. One day a girl calls his radio station… she has been kidnapped and locked in a dark room, requesting to be saved. Who is that girl?, Why did Nilay call K?, What is the role of the police in the middle?, How did Nilay gather the information about the whereabouts of the girl live from the radio station?, What is the relationship between this girl and the dead Avantika? That is the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

Sharing a thrilling experience with a single character, the main theme along with some emotional scenes and the twist in the climax are good. And Sumanth did full justice to his role. He performed many variations in some scenes to suit his role. Also Sumanth entertained well with his emotional acting. His portrayal of the character is also good. Moreover some key scenes also increase the attraction of the movie. In addition, the music is also well done at some places.

Moreover, even though the entire story of this movie takes place in a single room with a single character in the backdrop of a radio show, the director has maintained the interest well at some places. Overall, director Prashant Sagar Atluri has made this Aham reboot movie well as a psychological revenge thriller. How does a young woman uncover the truth behind her friend’s death through a kidnapping drama? The main drama is also good.

Minus Points:

After reading the plot of the film and watching the trailer online, the plot of the film as well as the screenplay goes as expected in many places. If the same interesting story was added and the screenplay was driven by increasing the conflict in the point of view of the hero, the film would have been even better. Similarly, if there were interesting scenes and interesting dialogues, this movie would have been a plus.

But, the director could not elevate this movie in that way. On the other hand, while Sumanth’s performance is satisfactory, most of his scenes are too regular. No supporting cast anyway. Moreover, the entire film is a single character. This deficiency is well seen in the movie. This movie is getting recognition as an experimental movie with a single character, but this movie does not seem like an interesting movie.

All in all, although the angle of how RJ, who is burning with remorse for having done a mistake, got rid of that guilt and started a new life is impressive, but the way in which that angle is revealed is not interesting. The script could have been better.

Technical Department:

Director Prashanth Sagar Atluri chose a good point and a talented lead but could not have written a more compelling screenplay. Sriram Madhuri’s music is good. But his music is not memorable. Some scenes could have been edited better. Cinematography by Varun Ankar is good. The production values ​​of Raghuveer Goriparthi and Srujan Yarabo are suitable for the story.

Verdict:

Overall, as an experimental film with a single character, this ‘Ego Reboot’ gives a thrilling experience at some places, but the film fails to impress. Regular revenge thrilling elements and boring play and weak treatment are the minuses of this movie. Overall this movie is not impressive. But, those who love experimental films will find some elements in this film to connect with.
