Sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD directed by director Nag Ashwin is running successfully at the box office. Pan India star Prabhas played the lead role in this film and the film featured heavy casting. As this movie is standing as an epic blockbuster and getting huge collections, the producer of the film C. Ashwinidat shared the features of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in the press conference.
Did Kalki 2898 AD live up to your expectations..?
From the morning show when the movie was released, there were positive reports from both Telugu states as well as from all over the world. It was such a resounding success that I expected it to be. Hats off to Nag Ashwin. I am very happy.
How would Nag Ashwin handle such a subject..?
We have been traveling with Nagi since his first film. It is believed that he can make any big movie. I told my girls the same thing. Since the beginning of Kalki 2898 AD till now, I have never interfered to ask what else I want.
How did it feel to see Amitabh Bachchan in such a role..?
Director Nag Ashwin took what he thought. Nagi’s portrayal of a senior actor like Amitabh is superb. Hats off to him.
Is Kalki part 2 idea right?
When we thought of this story, we thought about part 2. We decided on part 2 after Kamal Haasan entered.
What kind of tension was there in Kalki’s case?
There was no tension. We thought it would be better to release the film in summer. But the 9th of May was postponed. After that we released it on June 27 which was not correct. We made this film with the intention that it will be a huge success. That intention was fulfilled.
When will Kalki part 2 release..?
Can’t say anything right now. We will definitely try to release the film in the next year.
Mahabharata is not a scary subject?
Nagi tells this story in a fantastic way. I did not ask any question.
How is the cooperation of Prabhas?
Very good. Without Prabhas’s cooperation, the original film would not have come out. Darling really acted like a darling.
Vyjayanthi Movies 50 Years Celebrations?
It’s been a wonderful journey. From my first film to today’s Kalki, I am indebted to everyone. All the actors and technicians treated me like their own man and made films.
TDP came to power. How will the industry fare?
No need to worry anymore. Chandrababu garu will develop wonderfully. Great for the industry.
How many more parts can come in Kalki cinematic universe..?
Both of these come. What happens next depends on the script.
