The second T20 match between India and Sri Lanka scheduled to be held today, Tuesday has been postponed to Wednesday as Krunal Pandya was tested positive in Covid-19 test. India who leads in the three match T20 series by winning the first one is looking forward for a clean sweep by winning the second one too.
The match will take place on Wednesday subject to the negative results of Covid-19 for all the remaining players. Earlier this month, India’s tour of Sri Lanka which was set to start from July 13 onwards, was rescheduled. This happened following positive cases of COVID-19 to members of the Sri Lankan team. Data analyst of the Sri Lanka cricket team, GT Niroshan, tested positive for COVID-19. Prior to that, batting coach Grant Flower had also tested positive as well.
Krunal Pandya who played in the first encounter with Sri Lanka has taken 1 wicket for 16 runs in 2 overs which India won by 38 runs.
