Aha is the prominent Telugu OTT platform which is racing ahead in terms of content and also in consolidation of its subscriber base. Promoted by renowned producer Allu Aravind and My Home Group, this OTT channel has earned lot of following within short time. Along with presenting some variety talk shows hosted by celebrities like Samantha and Rana, it has been in the fore front in presenting some hit movies from other languages particularly from Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
While doing dubbing for other language films, extra care will be taken to present accurate words as much as possible by engaging professional translators who can do a competent job. As its a bit costlier to engage professionals, Google comes in handy as a result some embarrassing mistakes takes place. One such error was noticed when Aha has streamed its latest dubbed film Vikramarkudu starring Vijay Sethupathi.
While everything is fine, while translating the word direction, Google as usual translated it in it’s own style according to the dictionary, meaning ‘dikku’ instead of direction which actually should be ‘darsakatvam’ in Telugu language. The word direction got translated into ‘dikku’ in the titles which invited the wrath of viewers who are quite unhappy as it has come from a prestigious OTT platform like Aha. The users have started bombarding Aha for its oversight who are finding fault with depending on Google for simple translations. Aha is yet to respond on this goof up!
