Ashlesha Thakur who played the character of Dhriti, the teenage daughter of Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and Suchitra Iyer (Priyamani) has opened up about her kissing scenes the second season of the super hit web series The Family Man.
Dhriti falls in love with Kalyan alias Salman played brilliantly by Abhay Verma where she gets kidnapped by the perpetrators of terrorism to threaten Srikant Tiwari. On the course of their relationship, there were kissing scenes between both of them and Ashlesha who not only looked beautiful but pulled out an outstanding performance has shared her views about these scenes and about her kidnapping sequences that play significant role in shaping up the series of The Family Man.
She said that romantic scenes are ‘no fun’ and she did a lot of research when she was told about those scenes. She was obviously quite nervous during the shoot of these scenes. “I was very nervous. It was a very new thing for me to do. I had to bring maturity to the character and not have that kiddish way of acting. I wanted to make it look very natural and spontaneous. I watched a lot of web series where there is a love interest involved. I decided that I wanted to go ahead with it since I am also evolving as an actor. I trust my directors and did not worry about what it would look like on screen because I know how meticulous they are with their writing,” said Ashlesha.
As Abhay and Ashlesha have worked earlier for a commercial, this has made things little bit comfortable for Ashlesha and she further added that the kidnapping scenes were very exhausting while being emotionally and mentally challenging for her. Those scenes have become the turning point for the series and Ashlesha really performed like an pro in all those adding lot more credibility to the whole narrative.
