Sharmila’s main agenda of embarrassing the TRS government has met with partial success as she created a high drama against the back drop of her planned three day hunger strike against the government policies on unemployment.
The three day hunger strike has become one day strike and this has become an appropriate platform for Sharmila to fire TRS government on its failures while proclaiming her as the future Chief Minister of Telangana. Police too showed their over enthusiasm which in turn has provided more mileage to the anti-government campaign of Sharmila.
Meanwhile, Sharmila exhibited her restlessness over the news channel Sakshi which is owned by her brother and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy by being biased and not giving her enough publicity on their channel. As a result, ABN Andhra Jyothi which is a pro-TDP news channel has started giving more preference to Sharmila by exclusive telecasts of her programmes and doing special interviews. So whatever may be the reason behind this, Sharmila has got a mouthpiece now in the form of ABN Andhra Jyothi through which she can voice all her dissent effectively so as to reach more people. It’s interesting to see how Sakshi and other political parties are going to react to this latest development.
