As everyone is aware, Malaika Arora is a fitness freak and she posts different exercises and poses every Monday on Instagram. In her latest post today she presented a supple and flexi pose for this week – Sarvangasana, also known as the Shoulderstand!
She also mentioned about the benefits from this pose which are – It stretches your shoulders and neck along with toning your legs and buttocks. It stimulates the thyroid and abdominal organs. It helps relieve stress and reduces the symptoms of menopause.
Malaika added the description on how to do Sarvangasana in her Instagram post:
-Lie down in the supine position.
-Raise your legs slowly upward and bring it to a 90° angle.
-Bring the legs towards the head by raising the buttocks.
-Raise the legs, abdomen and chest and try to form a straight line.
-Place the palms on your back for support.
-Place the chin against your chest.
-Maintain the position as long as comfortable.
-Try to maintain the pose for up to 15 seconds or more.
