Washington Sundar (62), and Shardul Thakur (67) in a brilliant rear guard action have put India in a comfortable position on third day of Brisbane test against Australia.
Resuming at 62/2, India lost 3rd wicket in the form of Pujara at 105 and Rahane at 144 while Mayank Agarwal and Pant later steadied the innings to some extent. But its Sundar and Thakur who consolidated the Indian innings with some spirited batting enabling India reach the respectable score of 336 conceding a negligible lead of 33 runs to Australia. Hazlewood among Aussie bowlers was impressive, bagging 5 wickets once again and finishing the figures with 5/57 in 24.4 overs.
At the end of third day, Australia were 21/0 with David Warner batting on 20 and Marcus Harris on 1.
