Actress Anjali has described Game Changer as the best film of her career, crediting its unique story and her challenging role as Parvati. Directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan in dual roles, this highly anticipated pan-Indian film is set to release on January 10, 2025. Kiara Advani also plays a significant role in the movie, which blends action, emotion, and a strong social message.
Anjali’s Role as Parvati
Speaking at a media interaction in Hyderabad, Anjali shared insights about her role as Parvati, who is the wife of Appanna (one of Ram Charan’s characters). “Parvati is a pivotal character who adds soul to the story. Her love and bond with Appanna provide an emotional core to the film. My character wasn’t prominently showcased in the teaser or trailer, so it will surprise audiences on the big screen,” she revealed.
Anjali emphasized that portraying Parvati required significant effort as the film’s backdrop and events were vastly different from her personal experiences. “To connect with the audience through natural acting, I had to deeply immerse myself in the role. This character also has some surprising twists, which I cannot reveal now. Watching it unfold on screen will be thrilling,” she added.
A Personal Connection
Anjali shared an emotional anecdote about her connection to the character. “When director Shankar narrated the story and explained my character, I immediately thought of my mother, whose name is also Parvati. This role deeply resonated with me and transformed my perspective as an actor. The journey of this film has encouraged me to choose roles more carefully moving forward. For me, Game Changer is not just a film but a turning point in my career,” she said.
She also mentioned receiving praise from Megastar Chiranjeevi for her portrayal. “His appreciation felt like an award in itself. I truly believe this role has the potential to win a National Award,” Anjali remarked.
Ram Charan’s Dual Roles
Ram Charan plays dual roles in Game Changer: Appanna, an honest IAS officer, and Ram Nandan, his alter ego. Anjali praised Ram Charan’s performance, particularly as Appanna, calling it “memorable and brilliantly executed.” She hinted that their song, Aruga Mea, will captivate audiences and add charm to the film.
Exciting Projects Ahead
Apart from Game Changer, Anjali is currently working on a film with Nivin Pauly and another Telugu project titled Eagai. Reflecting on her career, she expressed her gratitude for opportunities to work in diverse roles and hoped that Game Changer would not only elevate her career but also cement Ram Charan’s place as a versatile actor post-Rangasthalam.
With its intriguing plot, stellar cast, and Shankar’s visionary direction, Game Changer is set to make waves in Indian cinema. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release to witness Anjali’s transformative performance and Ram Charan’s compelling dual roles.
